Community Engagement
Rochester and Elmore District Health Service was formed in November 1993 with the amalgamation of Elmore District Hospital and Rochester and District War Memorial Hospital.
We provide health and aged care services to townships in the Shire of Campaspe and the City of Greater Bendigo, including the communities of Rochester, Elmore and nearby townships of Lockington, Nanneella, Strathallan, Girgarre, Corop, and beyond to Tongala, Stanhope, Rushworth and Colbinabbin.

Community Engagement
Rochester and Elmore District Health continues to find ways to connect and engage with our community. Building relationships with key stakeholders enables us to understand what our community needs and how we can help.
Collaboration, partnerships and relationships are vital to REDHS success. Our Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and accompanying Engagement Plan outlines the various ways we engage with our community with the express aims of Informing, Consulting, Involving, Collaborating and Empowering them in decision making.
We conduct regular ‘Community Listening Posts’, support volunteers or community groups to host a ‘Kitchen Table Conversation’ which is a valuable way to discover and take notice of what our local community thinks, knows and wants from us.
